FSEconomy

FSEconomy (FSE) is one of the oldest and most popular free "career mode" add-ons for the flight simulation community. It is a persistent, multi-platform virtual world that runs in the background of your simulator (like MSFS, X-Plane, or P3D) and adds a layer of purpose and consequence to every flight.

Instead of just flying, you are a pilot in a living economy. The core gameplay loop is simple: you find a job (like transporting cargo or passengers) from one airport to another and get paid virtual money upon completion. This money can then be used to rent other pilots' aircraft, buy your own plane, or even purchase and manage your own FBO (Fixed-Base Operator) to sell fuel and services to other players.

All aircraft are persistent in the world. If you fly a Cessna 172 from one airport to another, it stays at that new airport until you or another player flies it somewhere else. This creates a dynamic, community-driven world where you can run your own virtual airline, fly for others, or just be a "bush pilot for hire," all while tracking your flights and finances.
